Forget drones, Amazon has a new idea of how to deliver items super quick whilst to its customers, and it involves you!
According to reports in The Wall Street Journal, the ecommerce giant is developing an app where members of the public pick up parcels from retail location and then deliver them to the customer in exchange for payment.
The app could be called, On My Way, and aims to cut costs and improve the customer experience.
The service is likely to be made available to customers in the US initially and no fee structure for On My Way has yet to be established.
Amazon hopes to gain more control over the shopping experience and reduce shipping costs, which grew 31 per cent last year, the newspaper said.
