Amazon Prime memberships drops to $67 on Friday only: Sarah Perez at TechCrunch reports that Amazon is dropping the price for Amazon Prime to just $67 in a one-day sale starting on Friday, September 25th at 12:01 AM ET, and ending at 11:59 PM PT. The ecommerce giant is always looking for ways to boost the numbers of Amazon Prime customers, whether that’s by holding a Black Friday-like “Prime Day” sales event or bundling in subscriptions alongside Amazon hardware. Amazon start to ramp up for Christmas 2015: Chris Dawson at Tamebay reports that Amazon has announced 700 new permanent roles in its UK fulfilment centres. Amazon now employs more than 7,800 people at its eight UK fulfilment centres. This compares with more than 4,000 at the beginning of 2011.
