Amazon preps fresh grocery delivery launch in UK: Jason Del Rey at re/code reports that Amazon is preparing to launch the Amazon Fresh service in the UK later this year. Amazon Fresh is a service that delivers groceries to your door on a same-day or next day basis. The UK grocery delivery market is more mature and consequently more competitive than the US market. Inside the tech divorce of the decade – PayPal and eBay start a new life without each other: JP Mangalindan at Mashable reports that eBay CEO John Donahoe will step down as eBay and PayPal officially separate in the biggest tech divorce of this decade. Amazon partner with Jet for locker sites: Chris Dawson at Tamebay reports that UK Amazon shoppers will be able to pick their parcels up at their local petrol station from this week. Amazon have partnered with Jet to locate Amazon lockers at petrol stations across the country. Jet petrol stations are generally run by independent dealers and the tie up with Amazon will be offered as part of the Jet dealer package. Continue reading…

Jet, a buzzy startup that raised $225 million to take on Amazon, just officially launched: Jillian D’Onfro at UK Business Insider reports that Jet.com which raised $225 million to take on Amazon, officially launched on Tuesday after welcoming beta testers in April. The site promises to offer prices that are 10-to-15% lower than anywhere else. Founder and CEO, Marc Lore, is excited as he discussed the web traffic the new website experienced on day one.
