According to Monetate’s E-Commerce Quarterly report, which is based on millions of online shopping sessions worldwide, the average amount spent by online shoppers is significantly higher on desktop devices than it is on smartphones and tablets in the first quarter of 2015. Despite an increase in mobile shopping with phone screens increasing in size, it seems we still to prefer to use our laptops and desktops when purchasing high-value items as the bar chart below illustrates.
